Privacy, plainly
FolioKiln processes artwork locally in your browser. We do not send your artwork, generated images, or filenames to our server. Keep your original files: we do not back them up.
Temporary checkout draft
When you open checkout with an artwork loaded, we attempt to save the image, collection name, and crop settings in this browser’s local database so you can resume afterward. This draft is not uploaded or backed up. It is removed when restored, when you choose “Clear artwork,” or on your next studio visit if it is over 24 hours old. Clearing this site’s browser data also removes it. Keep your original files.
Basic usage data
We record the event type, day, and a broad source category for visits, sample use, uploads, preview downloads, checkout starts, and exports. These events do not include persistent visitor identifiers, image contents, or filenames. They are counts, not unique-person conversion measurements. A broad referral category (such as search, AI search or social) can be kept in this tab’s session storage so navigation does not lose that category. We do not store the referring URL or a visitor identifier. The browser's Do Not Track setting disables these product events.
Purchases
The payment provider handles payment details and contact information under its own policies. FolioKiln stores the checkout session reference, payment reference, purchase date, and license token. An HTTP-only cookie restores your license for up to one year. A saved license is a bearer credential: anyone with it can use it.
Hosting
Hosting and payment infrastructure may process IP addresses and technical logs needed to operate their services. We do not add advertising pixels. Basic product events are retained for up to 90 days once the scheduled cleanup is enabled; purchase records remain while needed for access and accounting. Encrypted recovery backups may retain these records, including recently deleted events, for up to an additional 14 days when scheduled backup maintenance runs.
